Walton Village Hall and Reading Room are located at the heart of Walton, a scenic rural village at the head of the Eden Valley 3 miles north of Brampton and 12 miles east of Carlisle. The Village Hall is located in the old village school with the Reading Room a few metres away.
The Village Hall with it’s scenic countryside, open village green sports field and children’s playground provides an attractive venue for meeting, exhibitions, social events and children’s parties. The accommodation includes a single hall, kitchen and toilets.
The Reading Room is home to Walton Village Tea Room serving walkers, cyclists and heritage tourists being well positioned in relation to the Hadrian’s Wall Path – a UNESCO World Heritage Site – and the Reivers 170 mile coast to coast cycle route.
The Hall is owned by a local community charity and managed through its Village Hall Management Committee.
